How long a license lasts
Curaçao licenses are issued for an indefinite duration — there is no fixed expiry — but they remain conditional on ongoing compliance, supervision, and the authority’s power to suspend or revoke. How an application is assessed
The authority reviews applications in two broad phases. First it examines the integrity of the applicant and its financial stability. Then it assesses the wider regulatory requirements under the LOK — including the anti-money-laundering obligations introduced with the reform. Once the file is complete, the authority has indicated it aims to process applications within roughly eight weeks.
