What the format means
Under the direct-licensing policy that began on 15 November 2023, Curaçao online gaming licenses use the pattern OGL / YYYY / NNN / NNNN. The first two parts are documented; the last two are record identifiers assigned by the authority.

Decoder questions
Does this tool tell me whether a casino’s license is valid?
No. The decoder only reads the structure of a number — it checks that the parts are shaped like a real Curaçao license. It cannot confirm that the license exists, is genuine, or is currently active. For that you have to check the authority’s own register at cert.cga.cw.
What does OGL stand for?
Online Gaming License — the prefix Curaçao uses for licenses issued under the direct-licensing policy that began on 15 November 2023. A full number follows the pattern OGL/YYYY/NNN/NNNN, where the year is the policy year and the last two parts are record identifiers assigned by the authority.
My casino’s number ends in /JAZ — is that fake?
No. A /JAZ number is the older master / sub-license format that most established casinos still display. It is not fraudulent, but it identifies the master licensor rather than a verified record for the individual operator. The decoder recognises /JAZ numbers and names the master behind them.
Where do I check whether a license is actually active?
On the authority’s certificate endpoint, cert.cga.cw. A license record there shows its current status — Active, Suspended, Withdrawn or Revoked — and only Active means the operator is currently authorised. The verify-a-license guide walks through it step by step.
Why does the decoder say the format doesn’t match?
Usually a typo, extra spaces, a wrong prefix, or a number in the old /JAZ format rather than the new OGL one. Re-check the digits against what the casino displays; the tool ignores spaces and case but expects the four slash-separated OGL parts.
Is the decoder connected to the official Curaçao register?
No. It runs entirely in your browser and is not linked to any official database. It is a reading aid for the number format only — the official register at cga.cw is the single source of truth for whether a license is real and in good standing.
