Who we are

What we collect

Analytics

We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand which pages are read. It is cookieless and is designed not to collect personal data: it records aggregate, anonymised information such as the page visited, the referring site, and a broad country and browser type. It does not build a profile of you or track you across other websites.

When you email us

If you contact us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use that only to read and respond to your enquiry, or to act on a correction. We don't add you to a mailing list.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Advertising and selling data

We don't run ads, we don't use advertising or social-media tracking pixels, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.

Third parties

Two services are involved in running the site: our analytics provider (GoatCounter) and our web host, which processes standard server request logs to deliver pages. We also link out to other sites — most importantly the authority's own register at cga.cw — whose privacy practices are their own.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Because we run cookieless analytics and keep only the emails you send us, in practice that usually concerns your email correspondence. Email [email protected] and we'll help.

Retention

We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to deal with it. The aggregate analytics contain no personal data, so there is nothing personal to retain there.

Server logs

Like any website, ours is delivered by a web host that keeps standard server logs — your IP address, browser user-agent and the time of each request — for a short period in order to serve pages, diagnose faults and protect the site against abuse. These logs are processed transiently by the host, are not used to identify you, and are not combined with the analytics described above.

Children

This site explains the licensing behind online gambling, which is an adults-only activity. It is not directed at anyone under the legal gambling age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Complaints

If you believe we've mishandled your data, we'd like the chance to put it right — email us first at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example if we add or remove a service. The “last updated” date in the header always reflects the current version.
