How to verify a
Curaçao license.

A license number on its own proves nothing. Here is how to confirm a license actually exists and is currently in good standing — in five steps, using the official Curaçao Gaming Authority register.

    Find the CGA seal

    Operators licensed under the Curaçao framework display a Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) seal, usually in the footer of the casino or sportsbook. Since the move to direct licensing the seal is a plain grey badge rather than the older coloured logos. The seal is meant to be clickable.

    Quick rule: if the seal is just an image and does not link anywhere — or links to a page that isn’t on the authority’s own domain — treat the site as unlicensed until proven otherwise.

    Follow it to cert.cga.cw

    A genuine seal links to cert.cga.cw, the authority’s certificate endpoint. That page shows the license record for the operator — including its current status. The verification lives on the authority’s own domain; nothing on this site (or any third-party site) can take its place.

    Read the status

    A license record shows one of a small set of statuses:

    Active

    Current and in good standing — the only status that means the operator is authorised.

    Suspended

    Temporarily halted pending a compliance matter.

    Withdrawn

    No longer in force.

    Revoked

    Cancelled by the authority.

    Only an Active status means the operator is currently authorised. A number that decodes correctly but shows Suspended, Withdrawn or Revoked is not a green light.

    Decode the number first (optional)

    Before you verify, it helps to sanity-check that the number is even shaped like a real Curaçao license. Our license-number decoder breaks an OGL/YYYY/NNN/NNNN number into its parts.     The authority publishes its own license register and guidance. You can always start at the official site, cga.cw, and check the published register directly rather than trusting a badge on the operator’s own page.

Can you verify a Curaçao license for me?

No. Only the Curaçao Gaming Authority can confirm a license, and the live record sits on its own register at cga.cw. This page shows you how to check it yourself in a couple of minutes.

A casino shows a license number but the seal isn’t clickable — is it licensed?

Treat it as unverified. A genuine CGA seal links through to the authority’s certificate page; a static image that links nowhere, or off the authority’s domain, is not proof of a license. Look the number up on the register before trusting the site.

What if cert.cga.cw shows no record for the number?

Then the number does not match a current Curaçao license, and you should not deposit. A typo is always possible, so re-check the digits — but an operator that cannot be found on the authority’s own register is not verifiably licensed.
